In Memoriam is a series conceived as an homage and remind of the victims from March 11´s attempt in Madrid.
At first, the process consists in isolate some photographs of the victims that -sent by their relatives- were published in significant dossiers by the spanish newspapers La Vanguardia and El País. These photos concern to the everyday and familiar life of the desaparecidos, with their relatives and friends, in a pleasure trip snapshot o with the favorite mascot, showing their more human and frecuent aspect. Then, I paint these images respecting the original format of the newspaper and obviating the text that appeared with the photos.
The series -made in 2008- is composed by 26 oil paintings on paper.
